Almost all Gold Coins, worldwide, are actually only 90% pure gold, including the other USA Coins like the Gold Eagle/Walking Liberty Coin. The one exception is the USA Gold Buffalo Coin which is .9999% pure gold.
The coin is minted every year, but only in the one full ounce weight, ideal for collectors. But for one year only, in 2008, the Buffalo was also minted in smaller weights like the 1./10th ounce, suitable for rings and jewelry. These are very rare and difficult to get, When we are able to get a coin at a reasonable price, we can make this beautiful ring.
This ring has a low profile as you can see in the photograph above. This ring is not flimsy or paper thin, like many of our competitors. At about 18 grams, the ring has some weight and is substantial. The quality is immediately apparent. The coin is held in place by a solid 14k gold frame, front and back, not lightweight tabs that easily break. This is a ring that will last for generations.
