IN HOC SIGNO VINCES

"In hoc signo vinces" is a Latin phrase that translates to "In This Sign You Shall Conquer."  The phrase comes from a 4th-century legend about the Roman Emperor Constantine. Before the Battle of the Milvian Bridge in 312 AD, he reportedly saw a vision of a cross in the sky alongside these words.
